Notes

I teamed up with Marissa from Marissa Nicole Naturopathy (@marissanicole_naturopath) to showcase these furry little fruits and their gut health benefits!

Marissa explains why kiwis are so good for our guts!

“Kiwis are packed full of fibre and contain a proteolytic enzyme that helps our bodies break down proteins, and thanks to this, kiwis have been shown to aid digestion as well as feed and improve our gut microbiome.

”Kiwis are also well equipped with essential vitamins and minerals including vitamins C + E, folate, potassium, magnesium and zinc. These micronutrients, alongside a rich supply of phytochemicals, help to reduce inflammation and oxidative stress in your gut.”

Tossed into a salad with bitter leaves, nuts and a kombucha dressing, this salad is beautifully balanced with all the good stuff to support gut health.
